
Cantor Real Estate is a private real estate investment and development firm. The company’s roots are in opportunistic investments in real estate assets with a strategic focus on dislocated land/development projects in various stages of construction with capital constraints. In the current environment, Cantor relationships are providing off-market acquisitions from institutional lenders in need of cash and balance sheet liquidity. Construction loans are a significant drain on bank balance sheets and beyond their core scope expertise.
The firm also invests in unique, high-barrier to entry development assets. Ours is a value-add approach pursuing properties that are undervalued and/or stuck in an inefficient capital structure. CRE will take advantage of the current real estate downturn; investing in fundamentally sound assets currently constrained by poor capital structure or development plans, and will apply a hands-on development approach to building value in residential income-producing, commercial and industrial assets. Cantor’s hands-on development approach includes for-sale and rental residential, commercial and industrial assets.
